Welcome to the Texas Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association (TPCA) Class A and Class B UST Facility Operator Training Course. This course introduces the student to the safe operation of underground storage tank (UST) systems in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Students will learn how to both satisfy state and federal training requirements for operating USTs and train Class C employees. Most importantly, students will learn how to avoid and minimize the releases of gasoline, diesel, and other fuel products, and the environmental harm caused by leaks.

Topics covered in the course include: administrative requirements; release detection; release reporting, investigation, and confirmation steps; initial release response and abatement, and NAPL removal; TCEQ corrective action, waste management, and soil and groundwater cleanup; spill/overfill protection; corrosion protection; installation and technical standards for USTS ; and financial assurance.
